The New Mexico Area Health Education Center (NM AHEC) belongs to a federally funded national network dedicated to growing a diverse health care workforce and serving rural and underserved communities by offering innovative health career curricula to pre-collegiate students.
AHEC Scholars are leaders in their fields with the knowledge and skills to improve primary care practice outcomes through inter-professional and collaborative training.
New Mexico AHEC is a charter member of the National AHEC Organization, comprised of 56 AHEC programs and more than 235 centers operating in almost every state and the District of Columbia.
