Prepares equipment and assists physicians with treatments, examinations, or surgical procedures.
Performs nursing assessments and triage of patient care needs for new and ongoing patients, including patients on a clinical research study.
Oversees the planning, scheduling and implementation of day-to-day clinical activities and procedures for navigating patients.
Works with physicians and clinical research office to facilitate, coordinate and ensure patient access to Clinical trials.
Central point of contact for all navigated patients, including interactions with medical, nursing, ancillary services, and when appropriate the clinical research coordinator. About UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center:
Under the general supervision of the Department Director and indirect supervision of the Medical Director, provide direct care to patients by collecting patient data and/or medical histories, provides and oversees direct patient care, and coordinates patient care between department and other patient care areas.
