Ervin was my roommate at the University of Arizona. He was a dear friend with a good heart, and I regret that i did not keep in better touch with him. Still, he comes to mind constantly, and I am proud of all he accomplished and how his legacy lives on. Miss you, my brother.

Erv and I were residents at the University of Washington Family Medicine program from 1977-1980, and we remained in touch with one another until his untimely passing. I will always remember him as wonderful human being, a talented physician, a remarkable healer, and a good friend. It was an honor to know Erv.
