The UNM Comprehensive Epilepsy center is the only NAEC (National Association of Epilepsy Centers) level 4 accredited epilepsy center, serving people with epilepsy in New Mexico and adjacent states with catchment area of over 2 million people.
We provide the full spectrum of care with seizure disorders both to adult and children with the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and most advanced treatment options from medications to epilepsy surgery and neuromodulation.
We offer comprehensive multidisciplinary care from neurologists with special training and expertise in epilepsy, epilepsy nurse and advanced practitioners, neurosurgeons with special training in epilepsy surgery, neuropsychologists, psychiatrists, neuroradiologists, case managers/ social workers and pharmacists.
