Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: I went to school in Arizona and became fond of the Southwest and its beautiful sceneries and sunsets. From a practical standpoint, cost of living is also much more reasonable here than say... California, and I think that is one very important thing to consider when choosing where to go for residency.

Favorite Things About UNM: From a work prospective, it's an easy commute to work, everything in Albuquerque seems to be within a 15-minute drive. I really appreciate that there's never really any traffic here. All rotations are within the UNM system so just need to learn the one EMR system, keeping things simple. Outside of work, since our class has 20+ residents, there's always someone who's down to hang out with you and be there when you need someone. Absolutely love the camaraderie!

Favorite Things About NM: I love a good craft brewery and there are plenty to choose from in Albuquerque.
I also love how passionate the locals are about their chiles - definitely a bit quirky, but that's what makes this city and state as a whole so precious!
