Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: As a life-long East Coaster, I knew that I wanted a chance to go out and explore a part of the country I'd never had experience with for residency. UNM gave me the perfect opportunity to do just that, and to work with an incredibly diverse patient population, and to work alongside an incredibly hard-working and passionate group of people. I knew UNM was a place that would give me great training and prepare me for whatever future I decide to pursue.
Favorite Things About UNM: The people! There's a reason it's probably been mentioned multiple times; it's because it's true! Everyone, from faculty and staff to co-residents are kind, supportive, and just an absolute pleasure to get to know and to work with.
Favorite Things About NM: The sunsets - somehow they never get old! And of course the mountains and trails, the food. You can always find something to explore and something to do here.
