Career Goals: Pediatric Hospitalist |
Hometown: Portland, OR |
Why UNM: I chose UNM for the warm and supportive community, the diverse patient population, breadth of clinical cases, and encouraging faculty mentors. Since setting foot on in the hospital I've felt comfortable and supported by my faculty and co-residents. I've been intrigued by both the pathology we see in our patient population as well as the diversity of cultural background. I also appreciate the intentionality in the curriculum and the engaging, teaching style of our faculty. |
Favorite Things About UNM: I love the community we have here! There is always someone who is down to do something whether it be a pool party, pickle ball, or going out salsa dancing. It's a great balance between working hard taking care of patients and also enjoying all that Albuquerque, NM has to offer with some incredible people. |
Favorite Things About New Mexico: New Mexico is such a diverse and interesting place with rich history and culture. I've enjoyed learning about the many groups that call New Mexico home, and also enjoy exploring the outdoors. Since being here I've spent most of my time checking out coffee shops and restaurants, spending hours exploring art and history museums, and hiking in the Sandia foothills or Jemez forrest. I'm looking forward to ski season this winter, too! |
