The position requires experience providing diagnostic, developmental, psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluation for one or more of the following populations: infants/toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, teens and/or adults. The Clinical Psychologists will have specific experience providing diagnostic evaluation services for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with one or more of the above-mentioned age groups.
The ideal Psychology faculty candidate for this position will also have experience providing evidence-based interventions with one or more of the age groups/populations described and will have interest in serving diverse and underserved populations specific to New Mexico and the southwest. The Children’s Hospital of the University of New Mexico has a level one pediatric trauma designation and the only pediatric emergency department in the state. Excellent pediatric services are available including imaging, intensive care, ophthalmology, surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and rehabilitation. We serve a diverse population of patients from both rural and urban areas of New Mexico as well as from many Native American tribes/pueblos. The institution is located in Albuquerque, a picturesque city, located at the base of the Sandia Mountains, and home to the International Balloon Fiesta. Child maltreatment services are provided by two full time board certified child abuse pediatrician, one part time child abuse pediatrician, and a nurse practitioner who staff Para Los Ninos (PLN) and the Child Abuse Response Team (CART.) CART responds to child physical abuse and neglect cases while PLN responds to child sexual abuse cases. PLN is an off-site clinical program located at the Albuquerque Family Advocacy Center which serves victims of child sexual abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence. Our programs serve over 1000 patients each year. The successful candidate will assume clinical responsibility with both CART and PLN.
The Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an experienced clinician in Critical Care at the Associate Professor or Professor Level to serve as Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care. The leader will have a proven record of accomplishment in leadership, clinical service, patient care, research and scholarship, education and mentorship. This innovative, academic leader will have program oversight responsibility for the Pediatric Intensive Care Division, which includes oversight of the Pediatric Hospitalists group, which has an active section chief.
The position includes patient care responsibilities in a state of the art, 20 bed multi-disciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, which averages 1200 admissions per year. UNM is the main referral center for the entire state and surrounding areas. The program includes a full complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties including pediatric surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric ENT, pediatric urology, and pediatric anesthesiology. Clinical services also include pediatric sedation service, and ECMO program.

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, at the University Of New Mexico Children's Hospital is recruiting a full time (1.0 FTE) Pediatric Gastroenterologist to cover in-patient and out-patient service. The position is open track; rank is dependent on qualifications and experience. The selected person would be the 4th faculty member in the PEDS Gastroenterology division.
We see the full range of pediatric GI and hepatology patients from the most common clinical issues to the most complex and we serve a unique patient population including Hispanic and Native American communities. Peds GI staff also includes two outpatient APP’s, four RN's, a dedicated Pediatric GI Dietician, an MA and an administrative assistant. Our outpatient practice is at three local sites with one outreach clinic. We are also funded by the state to fly and provide children’s medical services clinics in distant cities. We have dedicated Pediatric OR block time with Pediatric Anesthesia support for endoscopies. We perform a wide breadth of GI procedures ranging from routine endoscopies, capsule endoscopy, impedance pH, Bravo, ARM, Breath test, etc. Opportunities for research are available.
