The Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) at the University of New Mexico administers 76 residency and fellowship programs, 74 programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), one program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), and one program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).
Following graduation from medical school, residents may enter one of our core residency programs. Upon completion of a core program, many physicians choose to further specialize through one of our many subspecialty fellowship opportunities. Each GME program is led by a dedicated program director and supported by experienced program coordinators and faculty.
