Under the direction of the Associate Dean of the School of Medicine and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education, CSPE is responsible for the evaluation of student performance in the curriculum, while the Office of Medical Student Affairs tracks and records individual student performance.

All MD students are expected to meet various compliance requirements throughout the curriculum. These requirements include, but are not limited to: maintaining up to date immunizations, personal health insurance, BLS certification, HIPAA, OSHA, and HSC Compliance Trainings.
