We are proud to honor our outstanding students, nursing educators, staff, alumni and preceptors. They make a huge impact on our College and our community. An award is the least we could do.
Each autumn, the College recognizes the positive impact these individuals have made in health care and nursing education.

2025Genesis Las Palomas Center
The UNM College of Nursing is proud to recognize Genesis Las Palomas Center for their extraordinary partnership and commitment to developing the next generation of nurses. The center went above and beyond to support our Level One nursing students this fall, providing a meaningful and memorable clinical rotation experience. When an unexpected schedule change required a new placement within days, Las Palomas stepped forward and offered to take up the students. From the moment students arrived, they were welcomed with warmth – greeted with coffee, donuts and a thoughtful orientation before joining nurses on rounds to meet residents. The team’s generosity turned a challenge into a great opportunity and helped support our students with foundational skills. Thank you for investing in our future Lobo Nurses.
