Domenici Hall's cutting-edge and centralized research cores provide an array of services dedicated to furthering brain research. The cores are open to all scientists interested in using neuroimaging tools to discover the mechanisms of brain functions in health and disease. BBHI administers the Preclinical Imaging Core located in Domenici Hall, which provides expert faculty and comprehensive imaging support services for UNM/Non-UNM investigators. The Core houses a 7T MRI scanner (Bruker BioSpec 70/30USR) and a PET insert for preclinical and molecular in vivo and ex vivo imaging.

Domenici Hall BRaIN Center is the hub for interdisciplinary brain and behavioral research programs at UNM HSC. BBHI funds 6-8 mini-grants per year for HSC faculty to access UNM Core resources in Domenici Hall.
