Dr. Hoekstra operated on my hip 40 years ago when I was 15. It was at Keesler Air Force base in Biloxi, Miss. He revised and re-fused my congenitally dislocated hip. Throughout the years, the many orthopedic doctors and other healthcare providers I have seen have been impressed with how good my fusion was and how well I did with it. I have always wanted to let Dr. Hoekstra know how much I appreciated his good work. I am sorry to be too late. However, I would like his family to know of my gratitude.
