The Interprofessional Healthcare Simulation Center (IHSC) is located within the Domenici Center for Health Sciences Education on the Health Sciences Campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The IHSC offers hands-on learning opportunities for students enrolled in health-related degree programs at the University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences campus. These learning experiences include simulated patient interactions using actors (standardized patients), manikins, and other simulators to enhance and develop skills. Students, faculty, and staff work together to foster a culture of respect, demonstrating interprofessional values that ultimately contribute to better health outcomes for the people of New Mexico.
The IHSC will be undergoing expansion and renovation through Summer 2026. As a result, there will be construction noises during the day and occasional room closures. Debrief Room 4 (1504) and Debrief Room 6 (1328) will be CLOSED and unavailable for the duration of construction. Other closures may occur. If construction should affect your request, you will be notified.
