Ethics Programs at UNM HSC

HSC Ethics offers ongoing ethics-related educational programs for students, residents, faculty, staff and community members. We are committed to education and ongoing discussion with the following goals:

• Creating, evaluating and overseeing ethics educational activities at the UNM Health Sciences Center
• Developing model competence-driven clinical ethics training for medical students, residents, physicians, allied health professionals and staff
• Developing an ethics fellowship and faculty scholars program
• Hosting regional and national conferences and workshops to enhance professionalism and ethics knowledge and skills

Education Topics

Ethics faculty provide educational lectures for professional groups, organizations and individuals on current issues. Topics cover Special Populations Health and Research Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Law and Policy, Mediation, Values and Decision-making.
