Division Chief - Interventional Pain Medicine
Dr. Eugene Koshkin is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico. He also serves as the Division Chief of Interventional Pain Medicine. He carries board certifications in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Koshkin trained as an R.N. in Moscow, Russia as a teenager. After immigrating to the U.S.A., he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (1997) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology (1998) from California State University. Dr. Koshkin then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree (2002) from University of California, Irvine. Afterwards, he completed an Anesthesiology residency and Pain Medicine Fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
