Clinical Interests: My clinical interests include medical dermatology, inflammatory skin disease, skin cancer prevention, procedural dermatology, skin of color, and improving care for underserved communities. Growing up in California’s Central Valley shaped my passion for serving diverse and medically underserved communities. I hope to build a career that integrates meaningful research, community engagement, and compassionate patient care.
Interests and Hobbies: Outside of medicine, I enjoy dancing, playing the piano, doing reformer Pilates, weightlifting, playing video games, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my fiancé, family, golden retriever, and two cats.
Additional Experience: Before beginning dermatology residency, I completed two years of Internal Medicine training at UC Irvine Health, which strengthened my approach to caring for medically complex patients and prepared me well for medical dermatology. I also completed a dermatology clinical research fellowship and helped lead a statewide initiative that provided free skin cancer screenings to more than 2,200 firefighters.

UNM Dermatology stands out because of its people and its strong sense of purpose. The faculty are approachable, generous with their teaching, and genuinely invested in our growth. We care for patients from across New Mexico with a wide range of complex dermatologic conditions, making our training both comprehensive and meaningful. I am proud to be part of a program that prepares us to become excellent dermatologists while serving communities that have historically faced barriers to specialty care.
When I first came to UNM as a visiting medical student, I immediately felt welcomed and supported. I was drawn to the kindness of the people, the dedication of the faculty, and the program’s commitment to serving communities throughout New Mexico. Since moving here, I have especially enjoyed the beautiful outdoors, the food and culture, and the relaxed, welcoming way of life. It is meaningful to return as a resident and now call New Mexico home.
