Since graduating our first class of residents in June 1998, we have offered a unique “1+2” program that combines a year-long university-based internship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque with two years of community-based training in Shiprock at the at Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) or in Santa Fe at at CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, La Familia Medical Center, and the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Family Medicine Center.
