The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology (MGM) is committed to delivering the best education for medical and graduate students. Our faculty offer mentorships in their laboratories for students interested in cutting edge biomedical research.

Leadership

Our department is led by Vojo Deretic, PhD. Dr. Deretic serves as Chair of MGM and is the Director of the NIH-funded Autophagy, Inflammation and Metabolism (AIM) Center of Biomedical Research Excellence.
