I was looking for three things in a residency program: 1) excellent operative experience, 2) kind and friendly people that were fun to be around, and 3) warm weather. The University of New Mexico possesses these three characteristics with flying colors. I rotated here as a medical student, and it was evident from the start that this was a great team that I wanted to be a part of.
