Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: I chose UNM because I knew I would receive a solid education with a strong support system. The program is an academic institution with huge catchment area. This allows for a wide variety of patients and pathologies to learn from. I also felt very welcomed by the residents and faculty during my interview and could see myself developing great friendships with them.
Favorite Things About UNM: One of my favorite aspects is the ability to create a good work life balance. The program encourages wellness half days spread out throughout the year. Albuquerque also provides different avenues to destress: hiking and nature, bike trails, yummy eateries, and more.
Favorite Things About NM: I love the beautiful views you can find in New Mexico. I've enjoyed going on hikes and as a huge foodie, I also love trying new restaurants and cafes.
