Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: I knew nothing about UNM before coming here to interview, and I left feeling impressed with the program and especially the people I met that day. I also really enjoyed getting to know the residents at the dinner the night prior to the interview, and had the opportunity to briefly explore beautiful Albuquerque after my interview. I ranked UNM highly because the residency program has so much to offer to its residents, and, being the only children's hospital in the state, I knew I would have numerous learning experiences during my time here. I felt confident that UNM would be a great place to help train me to be the best pediatrician I can be!
Favorite Things About UNM: My favorite aspects of being a resident here so far have been the immense support I've received from the faculty and my fellow residents, the time I get to spend hanging out with my new friends on my days/nights off, and the proximity to the many outdoor activities that Albuquerque offers.
Favorite Things About NM: Currently, I enjoy going to restaurants and breweries with outdoor dining with my fellow residents, and I am glad that NM seems to have many options for this COVID-approved activity. :)
