Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: I choose UNM because of it's location, balanced curriculum, and the people. When I interviewed at UNM I felt that the residents were supportive of each other and enjoyed working together. I also felt that the intern schedule was was well balanced compared to other programs. In addition, I wanted to be at a hospital that served as a referral center for the community so that I would be able to serve a diverse patient population.

Favorite Things About UNM: My favorite aspect of being a resident is the support that I feel between my colleagues. My colleagues are always working towards providing the best patient care possible, but are also mindful of the challenges of balancing a home life.

Favorite Things About NM: I like that NM has many outdoor activities and that it is sunny most of the days. I like to hike and explore an area of the country that I would never have seen before!
