Dr. Caitlin Armijo, General Psychiatry Residency Program Director
Dr. Caitlin Armijo serves as the Program Director for the General Psychiatry Residency Program. A graduate of our residency program, she has been actively involved in resident education, curriculum development, and program initiatives since completing her training in 2020. Prior to assuming the Program Director role, she served for several years as Senior Associate Program Director, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the residency program.
Dr. Armijo's professional interests include undergraduate and graduate medical education, resident wellness, mentorship, and faculty development. Her clinical expertise focuses on primary psychotic disorders, particularly schizophrenia. She is passionate about fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes clinical excellence, professional growth, and resident well-being.
Dr. Armijo is proud to work alongside a dedicated leadership team committed to supporting residents throughout their training journey.
Dr. Rachel Rose, Associate Program Director for Education & Assessment
Dr. Rachel Rose provides leadership in educational oversight, curriculum development, resident assessment, and continuous program improvement. She is dedicated to ensuring a rigorous and engaging educational experience that prepares residents for successful psychiatric practice. Dr. Rose also serves as the faculty advisor for the PGY-2 class.
Dr. Elise Morosin, Assistant Program Director for Resident Affairs
Dr. Elise Morosin oversees initiatives that support the resident learning environment, professionalism, wellness, and conflict resolution. She is committed to helping residents thrive both personally and professionally throughout their training. Dr. Morosin also serves as the faculty advisor for the PGY-3 class.
Dr. Mohammad Murtuza, Assistant Program Director for Resident Development
Dr. Mohammad Murtuza leads efforts related to mentorship, career development, scholarship, and leadership training. His work focuses on helping residents achieve their individual career goals while cultivating the skills needed to become future leaders in psychiatry. Dr. Murtuza also serves as the faculty advisor for the PGY-4 class.
