Our faculty received their residency training and fellowship education at major centers all over the country before coming to the University. We have specialists in pediatric otolaryngology, otology/neurotology/skull base surgery, hearing health care, rhinology/anterior skull base surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, head & neck cancer surgery, speech & voice disorders, head & neck endocrine surgery, and maxillofacial surgery.
This multidisciplinary team includes head & neck surgeons who work closely with radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, neuroradiologists, speech pathologists, social workers, and other members of the otolaryngology division to provide comprehensive care for cancer patients.
Our head & neck surgeons work with endocrinologists, general surgeons, and nuclear medicine specialists to provide surgical care for patients with thyroid and parathyroid disorders.
Speech pathologists and neurologists work alongside our surgeons to provide surgical care for patients with voice disorders.
Led by the neurosurgery department, our team includes neurosurgeons specializing in base of skull surgery, neurotologists, rhinologists, endocrinologists, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, and a neuro-ophthalmologist. We provide surgical care for patients with complex surgical pathology and are recognized by the North American Skull Base Society as a Multidisciplinary Team of Distinction.
Our team of neurosurgeons, neurotologists, neuroradiologists, and radiation oncologists meet weekly to review patient cases for stereotactic radiation treatment.
Our busy cochlear implant program is fortunate to have a dedicated group of surgeons, audiologists, speech pathologists, and early education specialists to provide care for children and adults with sensorineural hearing loss.
The Cleft Palate Team cares for patients throughout the State of New Mexico. The team includes pediatric otolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, speech pathologists, audiologists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, psychologists, and social workers.
This team of pediatric otolaryngologists, plastic surgeons, pediatric neurosurgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, interventional and diagnostic radiologists, dermatologists, and psychiatrists provides care for children and adults with complex vascular lesions.
For children with airway and esophageal problems, this multidisciplinary team—comprised of pediatric otolaryngologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, and nutritionists—collaborates to find solutions for these complex conditions.
