BATCAVE Training Sessions

BATCAVE simulation and training sessions are available for The University of New Mexico Hospital, UNM Health Sciences Center, and departments at the UNM School of Medicine.

UNM Hospitals Clinical Education Courses

For questions about BLS, ACLS, PALS, and IV Phlebotomy, please contact the BATCAVE Registrar at 505-272-5998.  For all other classes, contact the Clinical Education Department at 505-272-6313.

For instructors who wish to teach a new class at the BATCAVE, contact Lisa Trujillo, MSN, RN, by email or by phone at 505-272-3362.

Many of the BATCAVE classes are filled to capacity three to four months in advance so please plan on registering approximately four months prior to a course's start date.

For community members interested in taking NRP, please contact the Neonatal Outreach Program or call 505-272-1322.

UNMH and HSC staff/students who need BLS (CPR-Pro), please register in person Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

A $75 deposit, which will be returned according to the course policies outlined on the registration form, is required to hold your spot in the course and to borrow a book. For community members, there's a $200 fee to attend ACLS or PALS. The BATCAVE accepts checks; credit cards aren't accepted.

UNMH staff who require NRP can register with their Unit Based Educator. UNMH In-House staff who require NRP but don't have a Unit Based Educator can call the BATCAVE at 505-272-5998.
