An Interprofessional Education (IPE) Opportunity

Standardized Volunteers Needed

Each selected participant will receive a $90 GIFT CARD if they complete one hour of script practice and the 3-hour in-person event.

About the Event

• Justice and Equity in Diabetes Care: An Interprofessional Education (IPE) opportunity.
• This IPE opportunity will provide a safe space to learn and discuss health inequity, justice and your role in providing culturally humble diabetes care.
• The standardized volunteers will provide a realistic role-play for current HSC/nutrition students to allow a space to incorporate concepts and best practices in culturally humble diabetes care.

Criteria to Volunteer

• HSC alumni or students preferred.
• Belonging to an BIPOC/minoritized community would be preferred.
• Personal or clinical experience with type 2 diabetes is a benefit.

One-Hour Script Practice Required

• Read the script provided and practice on your own time.
