We are the No. 1 nursing school in New Mexico and our programs consistently rank among the best in the country according to U.S. News & World Report. We are 11^th Nurse-Midwifery program, 21^st MSN Online program, 43^rd BSN program, 61^st MSN program and 80^th DNP program in the nation to be exact.

Are we proud? Yes. But why do we do it?  It’s not for bragging rights.  It is because our mission is clear.  Serve the people of our state.  Build healthier communities. Improve lives.

At the UNM College of Nursing, we don’t just educate nurses. We educate inquisitive professionals who improve patient care and find better ways of doing things. Like developing a new understanding of health among vulnerable populations.  Addressing health equity as it relates to rural health, chronic illness, women and children’s health and health policy issues.
