Support for students, faculty, and staff is available across the College of Nursing, Health Sciences, and the broader University. The resources below reflect the many intersections that shape our community and offer spaces where people can find support and connection.
Health Sciences
DiCE at UNM
- UNM Division for Change and Empowerment: DiCE envisions a University where all Lobos are empowered to pursue success without barriers. They seek to elevate and strengthen UNM's core values by creating access, cultivating the potential of, and inspiring all Lobos.
- UNM Alza Council: The Alza Council brings together varying levels of expertise in diversity matters, a broad cross-section of occupations/disciplines from across UNM's academic community.
Student Resource Centers
- Accessibility Resource Center: ARC recognizes individuals with disabilities as an integral part of a diverse community and provides comprehensive resources to create equitable, inclusive, and practical learning environments.
- African American Student Services: AASS uplifts the Black student population through academic programming, socially just leadership development, holistic wellness and community engagement. The office supports students in realizing their full potential by exploring the many facets of Blackness.
- American Indian Student Services: AISS provides cultural and academic programming to support American Indian students and ensure their academic achievement and personal, cultural, and social success.
- Asian American Pacific Islander Resource Center: AAPIRC was established through a student-led initiative and supports AAPI students by fostering a sense of belonging for students of Asian and Pacific Islander heritage at UNM.
- College Enrichment Programs: CEP provides comprehensive support to help students transition to higher education and achieve collegiate success, with a focus on first-generation, low-income and rural students.
- El Centro de la Raza: El Centro de la Raza cultivates positive change through culturally relevant education, programs, and services. While focused on supporting Hispanic/Latina/o/x students, El Centro welcomes all and offers support from high school through doctoral study.
- Global Education Office: GEO facilitates international education by supporting international students, promoting study abroad and exchange programs, and advancing campus internationalization.
- Graduate Resource Center: The Graduate Resource Center fosters graduate student learning communities through writing, statistics, and research support, offering peer consultations and workshops to support academic and professional success.
- Arcoíris Center: Founded by students, staff, faculty, and community members, the Arcoíris Center provides a space where the LGBTQQIA community can not only survive, but thrive.
- LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center: The LoboRESPECT Advocacy Center offers a safe, welcoming environment and confidential support for students, providing resources, advocacy, and education to promote student success.
- Veteran & Military Resource Center: The Veteran & Military Resource Center provides comprehensive support to service members, veterans, and their dependents through peer mentorship, advising, and VA education benefits certification.
- Women's Resource Center: The Women’s Resource Center promotes awareness and advancement of women’s rights while fostering equity and social justice. The center provides tools and resources to support students’ academic, personal, and professional success.
