The Office of Research is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and vibrant research environment within the UNM Health Sciences Center. It manages compliance functions to ensure safety in all research operations and promotes the highest level of scientific integrity and public accountability, upholding rigor and transparency in research activities. The office oversees core facilities and resources, ensuring they are accessible and efficiently utilized. It also manages institutional support for building and maintaining shared research infrastructure, providing essential tools and facilities. Additionally, the Office of Research promotes collaborations across the Health Sciences Center and with external partners, supports researchers in securing extramural funding, and encourages the translation of biomedical discoveries into real-world applications through community engagement and commercialization.
