Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®)
The Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®) is an ABA-required simulation activity that enhances and documents participation in Practice Performance and Improvement (PPAI) activities. Our MOCA simulation programs focus on presenting scenarios designed to help the participant identify areas and projects for their PPAI programs. A major portion of the simulation process is dedicated to a detailed debriefing regarding the action, decisions and processes arising in each scenario. Peer-to-peer, guided debriefing will occupy at least 30% of the educational process. Debriefings may also include handouts and/or brief presentations on key clinical issues.
Register for MOCA training through the Office of Continuing Medical Education. The trainings are held several times a year.
