Education Overview

The Neurology Department at The University of New Mexico offers training programs in:

  • Adult Residency - As a student, you'll receive three years of training where you’ll work with faculty in using the latest technology and tools to provide the best possible care for patients.
  • Child Residency -  You'll gain knowledge to provide care for children with neurologic diseases as well as prepare you to continue on your career path.
  • Neurophysiology Fellowship - Fellows are trained in electromyography, nerve conduction studies, intraoperative monitoring and polysomnography.
  • Neurology Clerkship - Hands-on training and board exam prep are among the skills that will help you achieve your goals.
