Emily Galloway, MD 

During medical school, I completed my family medicine rotation in a small town in eastern Arizona. There, I witnessed the relationships between my preceptor and patients, some of which spanned decades across multiple generations, and the profound effect this partnership had on the community. I felt fulfilled taking part in preventative care and being able to follow up with patients to continue taking part in their healthcare journey. I hope to do the same as a family physician by addressing the needs of my community, particularly those from underserved backgrounds. I am excited to join UNM, a program that emphasizes population health and reproductive justice. In addition to comprehensive continuity care, I hope to offer services in obstetrics and family planning in my future practice. I look forward to continuing my medical training in the Southwest, not far from my hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.
