I chose family medicine because it allows me to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses the unique needs of individuals and families. The ability to serve underserved populations and make a real impact in their lives deeply motivates me. Family medicine's broad scope of practice means I can address a wide range of health concerns, fostering long-term relationships with patients and the community. I am especially drawn to the opportunity to work in a community-focused setting, where I can contribute to improving health outcomes for all. The UNM Santa Fe program is dedicated to training skilled physicians who are committed to serving diverse populations, which aligns with my values and goals. Additionally, New Mexico’s natural beauty and diverse culture make it an inspiring place to live and work, offering a unique environment to grow both professionally and personally.
