Hi I'm Angad, I grew up in Northern California on a walnut farm. I once made a 1000 gallon composting system out of water totes, pvc piping and a sump pump. I attended CSU Chico State then on to Arkansas College of Osteopathic medicine. I knew it was going to be FM after I rotated with a rural doc. During this rotation we did anything we were comfortable with, including a paraspinal loculated abscess breakup and drainage. Family Medicine to me is the jack of all trades and the keystone of patient care. Knowing a lot about everything in medicine allows you the ability to develop in all directions. Whether a chronic, urgent or emergent situation, there’s a strong possibility it falls under Family Medicine’s scope. My goal is to create the best quality of life for my patients, we lay out the options, share decisions, and address concerns with evidence-based practices. I chose UNM due to the quality of faculty and residents it attracts in combination with a proven track record.
