Madison Guevara, M.D.

Introduction: I'm Madison from Madison, Wisconsin! I completed medical school in Milwaukee and graduated from Internal Medicine residency in Denver before moving to New Mexico.

Interests

• Pathology & Research Interests: Forensic pathology. 
• What do you like about living in New Mexico: I love not having to sit in traffic for 30 minutes to go 2 miles (the traffic in Denver is ridiculous!). My husband and I are grateful to have found a great home with some land for our three large dogs.
• Interests Outside of Pathology: I love going to metal concerts, spending time with my husband and pets (we have 7 - 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 guinea pigs), and rotting on the couch to watch horror movies and reality TV.

Why I enjoy the pathology program at UNM

I enjoy that our didactic times are protected (this was not the case at my previous residency) so that we are able to focus on learning. I have enjoyed working with the attendings who create a safe learning environment as we learn a new skill set.
