Introduction: I grew up in Tulsa, OK and attended the University of Oklahoma for college. Then, I attended Kansas City University's new Joplin campus for medical school where I lived in southwestern Missouri for four years.

Interests

• Pathology/Research Interests: Forensics, Teaching
• What do you like about living in New Mexico: The mountains here are truly breath-taking. Albuquerque is the perfect size city and centrally located in the state, so the amount of activities within a 3 hour drive are endless. The food is also very good with a surprising amount of variety. I look forward to exploring the state's mountain ranges, mesas, and volcanoes over the next four years.
• Interests Outside of Pathology: Hiking, cooking, visiting breweries, gardening

Why I enjoy the pathology program at UNM

During my interview season, UNM Pathology's friendly and organized staff stood out to me. The curriculum here is well- planned and balanced between AP/CP. UNM has many of the benefits of a larger academic center such as variety of specimens, opportunities for research and teaching, multiple fellowships, and knowledgeable faculty. Yet, they maintain a smaller program feel where you can get to know people and feel comfortable asking questions.
