Introduction: I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, until I left for University of Washington in Seattle. There I got my bachelor’s in laboratory medicine and was a medical lab scientist in Seattle and Albuquerque for six years before starting medical school here at UNM. 

Interests

• Pathology & Research Interests: I'm not positive which branch of pathology I'll go into yet but I hope to stay in academics and keep education as a part of my career long-term.  
• What do you like about living in New Mexico: New Mexico will always be home for me. I love the four seasons with generally mild weather, the food and the culture here. I feel like Albuquerque has just enough going on that it's not boring but is still surprisingly tight knit and feels like a small town.
• Interests Outside of Pathology: Board games, DnD, reading, cats, crafts, hiking and probably some new hyperfixation by the time this is posted.

Why I enjoy the pathology program at UNM

It balances strong training with good work-life balance, we have a great resident union through CIR/SEIU, I love my home state and the unique population we serve.
