Why UNM is My Choice for Residency: After spending four years back in the Midwest for med school, I remembered why I moved to the west in the first place. I was looking for a program that had lots of opportunity for interesting pathology, working with low-income families, and was small enough I wouldn’t be standing behind rows of fellows in order to learn. Add in blue skies, mountains, and the opportunity to start skiing again and there was really only one place for me!
