The UNM College of Nursing is hosting a Missouri Community Action (MCAN) Network Poverty Simulation. This interactive experience is designed to give participants a glimpse into the structural barriers of poverty. In this simulation, participants assumed the roles of family members in poverty. Volunteers play the role of service providers and other community resources. The simulation activity will be followed by a debriefing where attendees shared what they learned.
