Poison Centers have a huge impact on the healthcare system! Across America, poison centers saved billions of dollars to the health care system by avoiding emergency room visits, reduced emergency transport costs, and shorter hospital stays. Locally, our poison center provided an estimated cost-savings and benefit of $46.6 million to New Mexico in FY26.
