The Central NM STEM Research Challenge is not obligated to use exactly the same categories as ISEF, though every effort is made to offer as many as possible. If a category has fewer than 3 projects registered after category placements are finalized, the category will NOT be included in the Research Challenge and any projects registered in the canceled category will be moved to the most appropriate next choice category for competition. Participants who qualify for the NM State and/or ISEF competitions are free to change their category choice during the registration process for those competitions.
