Undergraduate Health Sciences Enrichment Program (UHSEP) is an intense and rewarding multi-week residential summer program for entering first-year college students. This academically rigorous program hosted on the University of New Mexico (UNM) campus provides an on-campus learning environment for students who are interested in a career as a health professional. The program will challenge students with a curriculum that enhances and supports their academic and social development.

June 7 - June 24, 2026
Please note: There will be no programming on Juneteenth (June 19, 2026). Students will go home for the weekend of June 18th and will return on Sunday, June 21st. Students will then remain at UNM's campus the remainder of the program week.
UHSEP Is a Residential Summer Program
Participants are required to live in the dorms Monday-Friday. There is a mandatory check out on the weekends. Students check out for the weekend by 7pm on Friday evening and return on Sunday night by 9PM. Students are not allowed to stay in the dorms over the weekend.
Move in takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3PM.
Summer 2026 application cycle opened October 1, 2025 and the deadline is on December 31, 2025. Accepted participants will be notified early March.
