What's Your Favorite Thing About UNM Anesthesiology? What I love most about the UNM Anesthesia department is the people. This work is demanding — the cases are complex, the days are long, and the stakes are high. But there is something special about this department that makes all of it feel manageable: we face it together. The sense of togetherness here isn't just a nice bonus — it's woven into the culture of who we are and how we show up for each other every single day.
What Do You Like Most About Being an Educator? Education, at its core, is deeply personal. Every student brings their own way of thinking, their own way of learning, and their own pace of growth — and I believe it is our responsibility as educators to honor that. Watching each student make progress over time, in ways big and small, is the most rewarding part of this work.
What's Your Favorite Thing About New Mexico? New Mexico is a state rich in culture, opportunity, and breathtaking natural beauty. With over 300 days of sunshine annually and four distinct seasons, the climate strikes a balance that is hard to find anywhere else.
