Research
In the Ponomarova Lab, we study how biochemical pathways support organismal health. Questions we seek to answer include: Why are metabolic pathways wired the way they are? How does metabolism adjust to challenging conditions? How can we find diets that alleviate metabolic diseases? Our favorite tools are metabolomics and genetics.
