The Clinical Core is a fundamental component of the Center for Brain Recovery and Repair (CBRR) established by an NIGMS Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE) grant (P20GM109089).
Our facilities in Domenici Hall on UNM’s North Campus are strategically located in the very heart of the UNM neuroscience research community. This core provides testing rooms, cutting edge technologies, and expertise to support clinical neuroscience investigations. The Clinical Core provides a convenient, participant-friendly point-of-service, adjacent to basic research, neuroimaging, and clinical medicine facilities. We are located adjacent to the Mind Research Network (MRN), which is a world-class neuroimaging research center that we strongly collaborate with, in order to support multimodal clinical neuroscience investigations.
The mission of the Clinical Core is to provide a centralized, interdisciplinary clinical research facility that provides state-of-the-art neuropsychological, neural stimulation, and neuroimaging equipment and space. We also provide expert training and consultation support in research design, neuropsychological test selection, integration with neuroimaging, and cutting edge technology, and flexible approaches to data management in order to support clinical investigators that will lead to improved outcomes for individuals with brain and behavioral conditions.
