The CBRR pilot awardees for 2021 are:
Dr. Rong Pan, from the College of Pharmacy. Pilot project titled:
"Blocking ZnPP Formation by Ferrochelatase Inhibition Reduces Brain Damage and Improves Behavioral Outcome Following Intracerebral Hemorrhage.”
Dr. Katherine Frietze, from the department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. Pilot project titled:
“Assessment of VLP-based opioid vaccines in mouse models of pain
and overdose”
Dr. Hae Won Shin’s, from the department of Neurology. Pilot project titled:
“The creation of a pilot database of EEG recordings and de-identified medical records from patients internally referred within the UNMH Comprehensive Epilepsy Center”.
BBHI Funding
The Brain and Behavioral Health Institute (BBHI) of the University of New Mexico (UNM) Health Sciences Center (HSC) is soliciting applications from all HSC faculty members for mini-grants to help access UNM core resources in Domenici Hall.
