Allison Hade was trained in figure drawing and portraiture at the Art Institute of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Anthropology, with a focus in costume design. While she shifted her professional focus to medicine, her love of design and costume remains, and she finds great pleasure in combining her love of costuming with anatomical and medical inspiration.
