Application Requirements for University of New Mexico Neuroradiology Fellowship Program:

For the 2023 ERAS® cycle, our program will be participating in the NRMP Match, and we are excited to receive information from the supplemental ERAS application offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. Applicants will be required to complete the MyERAS application, and participation in the supplemental ERAS application is optional. In its second year of use, the supplemental ERAS application is designed to help applicants share more information about themselves and assist our program in finding applicants that fit our programs’ setting and mission. There is no cost to applicants and participation is optional.

The supplemental ERAS application includes: 

• geographic preferences (by region and by urban or rural setting);
• information about their most meaningful experiences and other impactful life events, if applicable; and
• program signals.

Neuroradiology Fellowship Application Instructions

For the 2022-2023 interview season (for fellows starting the program in 2024), all interviews will be conducted virtually in accordance with the AAMC recommendations

Step 1:  Minimum Application Requirements

Our minimum application requirements state that applicants must be one of the following:

• a graduate of an ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency (by start of fellowship)
• a graduate of an LCME accredited American or Canadian medical school
• a graduate of an AOA accredited osteopathic school in the United States
• an international medical graduate with a valid ECFMG certificate

• a U.S. citizen, resident with a valid work permit
• or visitor with a J-1 visa

All completed applications from qualified applicants will be reviewed

Step 2:  Research Our Program

Step 3:  Submit an ERAS Application

Please send us a completed application through the Electronic Residency Application Service of the Association of American Medical Colleges. Our ACGME ID is 4233421049.

We require three Letters of Recommendation; one must be from a neuroradiologist.  

We require passing Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3.

Step 4:  Receive an Invitation for a Personal Interview

After review of the submitted applications, selected applicants are invited to visit our program and  meet with members of our Resident Selection Committee, which is composed of both faculty, fellows and our Program Coordinator. 

If selected for interview, you will receive an invitation with specified interview dates.  Accept the invitation to schedule your interview. Interview season is typically December to March of each academic year.

Step 5:  Participate in "The Match"
