The Division of General Surgery provides the highest level of accredited expertise in colorectal, foregut, abdominal wall, and bariatric surgery. Our faculty at Sandoval Regional Medical Center also specializes in emergency and acute care surgery as an accredited Level 3 Trauma Center. Our program supports the mission and vision of the University of New Mexico by delivering innovative and compassionate care to our diverse population here in the Southwest through excellence in surgical care, research, and education.
